Transport officers have arrested a male at Cornbrook on suspicion of causing Grievous Bodily Harm and possession of a knife.
It came as officers were deployed across Manchester’s public transport system in a bid to crack down on criminal behaviour.
GMP Manchester City Centre police tweeted at 10.36pm today: “#Transportunit officers have arrested a male at Cornbrook on suspicion of GBH and possession of a bladed article.”
“Working alongside @OfficialTfGM we conduct uniform and plain clothes operations across the region’s transport routes to keep the public safe.”
Shortly after it posted: ” #Transport unit officers have deployed across the public transport system since 4pm working with a number of partners to deny criminals travel on the system.
“A number of people have had to be removed this evening for their behaviour and attitude.”
