A shock murder could hit the cobbles – if Coronation Street fans are proved right.
The ITV soap’s epic “Super Soap Week” episodes began last night with action on and off the cobbles.
And with several Weatherfield residents at risk, Corrie has warned no one is safe.
It started with Debbie Webster preparing for the grand opening of her House of Horrors event which ended is expected to end in a real-life horror.
Abi Franklin was seen looking for Corey Brent after he posted a series of social media posts ahead of his transfer to Germany as his football career flourishes.
When he plan to confront him at his posh home was scuppered by Nina Lucas, she attempted to find him at the Halloween event.
They eventually came face-to-face and the killer goaded the grieving mum over his son’s death.
But when she pulled out a gun, and proved it wasn’t a fake one, Corey soon changed as he feared for his life.
However, just as Abi was preparing to pull the trigger, the ground opened up beneath them and they fell into the Victorian sewer.
And over at the Bistro, Leanne Battersby was confronted by drug lord Harvey Gaskell who she last saw in court when she gave evidence against him.
So it’s clear he’s not back for a catch-up and happy reunion.
But Corrie fans think Harvey could kill someone else – thinking it was Leanne.
“Calling it. Natasha is a goner. A case of mistaken identity at the end of Harvey’s gun. #Corrie,” tweeted one.
Another said: “Ok, so I’ve just figured out the whole costume thing in #Corrie So Sam wanted to do the Adam’s family with Natasha and Nick but Natasha couldn’t make it So Nick thought Leanne could take Natasha’s place (potential foreshadowing) to cheer up Sam.”
“OMG wait, with Natasha & Leanne both planning on dressing up for Sam in the exact same costume could Harvey actually kill Natasha mistaken her for Leanne? Leaving Sam in Nick’s care full time? Replacement StepSon for Leanne?#Corrie,” a third added.
While a fourth commented: “I think Natasha is a gonner. Things are going too well for her. #Corrie.”
As viewers pointed out, Leanne ended up dressing up as Morticia Addams in a bid to cheer Sam up.
It came after his mum Natasha phoned to say she was stuck in traffic after being in London showing Audrey and Gail Platt her salons.
But viewers also predicted Natasha’s death last week after she shared a conversation with Johnny Connor – who also happens to be caught up in the sinkhole drama.
Natasha explained how she had brought Audrey’s old salon from Debbie Webster so that she could set up another salon in Weatherfield.
She decided to put down roots in the area so that Sam can spend more time with his dad, Nick.
