A crash on the M60 has led to long delays this morning (Wednesday October 20).
The collision happened in the Stockport area, close to junction 27 (A6188 Tiviot Way/Portwood Roundabout).
Traffic has built as far back as junction 23 (Ashton-under-Lyne) on the clockwise carriageway.
Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) tweeted: “Reports of RTC on M60 CW J26-J27, Stockport.
“Long delays backed to J23, Ashton-under-lyne, please use an alternative route or allow extra time for your journey today.”
Traffic monitoring site Inrix confirmed that the motorway was closed between 7.35 and 7.40am but that all lanes are now re-open.
An update read: “Long delays due to accident, now on the hard shoulder on M60 clockwise at J27 A6188 Tiviot Way (Portwood Roundabout). Congestion to J23 (Ashton Under Lyne).
“All lanes have been re-opened. Travel time is around 30 minutes. Traffic stopped between 07:35 and 07:40.”
