BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – No. 17 Texas A&M dominated from start to finish for its eighth straight win over South Carolina, downing the Gamecocks, 44-14, inside Kyle Field on Saturday night.
For the second straight week, Devon Achane and Isaiah Spiller both recorded over 100 yards on the ground, while the Aggie defense limited South Carolina to just 185 total yards of offense. A&M recorded two interceptions and piled up four sacks against the Gamecocks.
The Aggies jumped out to a 31-0 lead at halftime. Achane finished with a career-high 154 yards on the ground with one touchdown, while Spiller logged 102 yards on 18 carries with one score. Zach Calzada connected with Jalen Wydermeyer for a pair of touchdowns in the first half.
Ainias Smith opened the scoring in the first quarter with a 95-yard punt return touchdown, the longest by any FBS player this year.
