I’m A Celebrity odds: David Ginola slashed into joint-favouritism to win hit ITV show

David Ginola was the big market mover in I’m A Celebrity odds lists after the hit ITV series got underway on Sunday night.

The former Premier League star has been slashed into 7/2 joint-favourite (from 7/1) along with Frankie Bridge after the opening show, in which the suave Frenchman was forced to sleep in the dreaded Clink – effectively a jail cell – at Gwrych Caste, along with the rest of the yellow team.

Ginola was far from impressed when he discovered that the grim Castle Clink doesn’t have beds and the shower only has cold water! The football icon ended up on the losing team with actor Danny Miller, choreographer Dame Arlene Phillips, who is 7/4 favourite to be the first celebrity to leave on Friday, music producer Naughty Boy and presenter Richard Madeley.

Frankie Bridge remains one of the favourites after getting off to the best possible start by beating Richard Madeley in the first challenge of the new season. It was a victory that earned her red team a rabbit dinner while the yellow team had to settle for rice and beans.

The red team – which consists of Louise Minchin, Kadeena Cox, Matty Lee and Snoochie Shy – won their respective heats and chose Frankie as their representative.
