9 From SEC Named CoSIDA Football Academic All-America

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Dec. 15, 2021) —-Nine Southeastern Conference football student-athletes have been named to the 2021 Academic All-America® Teams, according to an announcement Wednesday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The 2021 Academic All-America® Football Teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Kentucky led the way with three honorees, while Auburn and Tennessee each had two, and Mississippi State and Missouri claimed one.

A total of 15 SEC football student-athletes earned Academic All-District® honors earlier this year. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advanced to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot.
