A youngster who tragically lost her life after she was hit by a Land Rover on Saturday night has today been named as Lily Rose Morris.
The 10-year-old, from Oldham, was described as a ‘happy, bubbly and lovely little girl’.

She died after her and another girl were hit by a Land Rover at around 5pm on Saturday night on Coleridge Road, in Sholver.

Six injured and woman cut from car after ‘serious’ crash between car and lorry on M60
Six people have been left with injuries after a serious crash between a car and a lorry on the M60.
The incident happened shortly after 7.30pm on the anti-clockwise stretch of the motorway between junctions 16 and 17.
One woman was left with serious injuries and was trapped in her car, meaning fire crews had to cut her out.
All traffic was held shortly after, with many drivers stuck in queues for more than three hours this evening, December 19.
Cars were stuck within the closure until after 10.30pm, with one person calling it the ‘scariest aftermath’ of a crash she had ever seen.
Numerous 999 calls were made by people stuck in the growing congestion, according to the fire service.
Delays continue at Manchester Airport as staff work under ‘severe pressure’ in run up to Christmas
Delays are continuing at Manchester Airport as bosses admit the operation is under ‘severe pressure’ in the run up to Christmas.
Many passengers missed their flights on Friday night and Saturday morning as they battled long queues through security checkpoints.
Some were seen fainting, one customer witnessed ‘mini stampedes’ and tearful travellers were left ‘stranded’ when flights took off without them.
It appears the problems have continued on Sunday.
Airport bosses say security queues are ‘longer than we would have hoped’ as a ‘significant increase‘ in passenger volumes has put the operation under ‘severe pressure’.
They said yesterday that staff absences and ‘a higher number of passengers than expected’ caused delays, but denied this was related to coronavirus.
The airport apologised in an official statement yesterday and has made several apologies to customers on social media again today.
‘Obsessed’ man accused celebrities of child abuse, sent them toenail clippings, and put up vile posters in his local pub
An ‘obsessed’ man bombarded celebs, including McFly’s Tom Fletcher, with a constant stream vile letters accusing them of child abuse in a ‘vicious campaign’.
Leo Darcey, also known as Robert Heywood, 30, began sending the vile letters to actor Scott Paige and his mum.
He also made reference to putting up posters about him around the local village.
Mr Paige was concerned but thought it was a one-off, so didn’t immediately go to the police.
However, a day later he received another letter containing more abuse stating his family should ‘burn in hell’, as well as toenail clippings.
Minshull Street Crown Court heard that the following day a poster was put up in a pub which showed two pictures of Mr Paige taken from his Instagram account.
The poster read that he was ‘sick and ill’, said he had an OnlyFans account showing him having sex with older men and promoting young teenage boys to have sex with older men.
