With the January transfer window on the horizon, the rumour mill is working overtime as United are linked with plenty of arrivals and departures.
Jose Mourinho is keen to bolster his defensive ranks at Roma, but Ralf Rangnick has blocked his move for a United full-back.
The future of one of Bayern Munich’s key men is up in the air as contract negotiations continue to prove problematic, and United are ready to pounce should a new deal fail to be agreed.
And finally, it looks increasingly likely that at least one of United’s strikers will be on their way out of the club next month, and Anthony Martial has reportedly decided where he would like to move.
Rangnick ruins Mourinho’s plans
Rangnick’s appointment as United manager looks to be good news for Diogo Dalot.
Calciomercato report that Mourinho was keen to bring the full-back to Roma in a bid to shore up his backline, but United’s interim boss has blocked the move.
Rangnick is said to have “removed the Portuguese defender from the market” as he continues to assess his squad.
My opinion: I’m quite happy to hear Dalot will be remaining at the club because Aaron Wan-Bissaka needs to be kept on his toes. It’ll be interesting to whether Dalot becomes Rangnick’s preferred option at right-back over the coming weeks.
United monitor Coman
Players who can adapt and play in different positions when an injury crisis strikes are worth their weight in gold, and so United fans should be very excited to hear of the club’s reported interest in Kingsley Coman.
The Bayern man can play in a number of different positions and with talks over a new deal continuing to stall it’s understood the Bundesliga side may be open to cutting ties with the Frenchman.
Coman’s current deal expires in 2023 and Mundo Deportivo report that if fresh terms aren’t penned they could sell him in the summer.
United, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all monitoring developments and could look to make a move next year if progress isn’t made over a new deal.
My opinion: What a signing this would be and I really hope it happens.
It’s not often you get the chance to sign a player who can produce superb performances in a number of different positions and the signing of Coman would be a real statement of intent.
Martial wants Spain switch
Edinson Cavani’s United exit has been tipped to be confirmed next month and it seems he may be joined at the Old Trafford exit door by Martial.
The France international’s agent recently revealed his client’s wish to leave the club, with Newcastle United understood to be eyeing a possible move.

Julen Lopetegui’s side are said to be keen on an initial loan deal with a view to making the switch permanent in the summer, though the report does add that Barcelona and Juventus remain interested in the striker.
My opinion: I think it’s time for Martial to leave United. That being said, we have to make sure he moves to a club where he knows he’s going to be playing regularly in the hope we can make as much money as possible from the deal if he does secure a permanent move next year.
