CHRISTMAS trees are a place to gather around and open presents with loved ones.
But the ornaments we hang on these evergreen pines are often fragile, and they can easily be tipped off the branch and cracked on the floor.
If you have toddlers or unruly pets around, you know it is nearly impossible to keep their curiosity at bay—especially when it comes to shiny, colorful objects.
They often inch up close to the Christmas tree and, with a single touch, knock a delicate glass ball to the ground.
A woman who goes by @HonestlyAutumn on TikTok said she has a solution.
In the clip, her husband began filling a large plastic bin with weights.
He then covered the bin in Christmas wrapping paper and placed it on the side of the tree exposed to the living room.
Autumn explained: “To avoid tree tampering, make a decorative gate around your tree by wrapping heavy boxes.”
The clip concluded with the couple’s adorable toddler and pup tapping the heavy box, unable to get around it.
This isn’t the only toddler-hack that @HonestlyAutumn shared on TikTok.
The first-time mom recently revealed a way parents can easily remove the scribbles that their young children draw onto white walls.
In the clip, her adorable daughter picked up a sharpie and began innocently coloring onto an otherwise clean wall.
“Things I wish I knew as a first-time mom,” Autumn began.
The mother grabbed a bottle of sunscreen, sprayed the marker stain, and rubbed it down with a rag. Within seconds, any trace of a sharpie’s presence disappeared.
