Vicki starred with Betty on American TV sitcom Mama’s Family, which aired throughout the 1980s, and she told PageSix that she contacted co-star and friend Carol Burnett as soon as she heard the news about Betty’s death.

The 72-year-old star recalls texting Carol to express how much it “sucks” when “people you love so much” sadly die.

Vicki said: “Carol wrote back and said, ‘I know, I know. I spoke to Betty’s assistant, who was with her when she passed, and she said the very last word out of her mouth was ‘Allen’.”
