Mikael Silvetsre has delivered a damning evaluation on his former membership amid their tribulations this season.
Manchester United are set to overlook out on a high 4 spot this season, with Saturday’s loss to Arsenal all just about ending any hopes of qualifying for Champions League soccer subsequent season. The membership have now misplaced 4 successive away video games within the Premier League and look in disarray on the pitch.
It appears the unrest within the altering room is beginning to spill out in interviews, too. Ralf Rangnick has not been shy to criticise his staff whereas Scott McTominay was the newest participant to return out with stern feedback following the loss to the Gunners.
The midfielder known as on his staff to point out extra “b****” of their performances, including: “It comes down to the basics and we’re not doing them well enough.”
Reacting to those comments, Silvestre told Genting Casino: “In my career, I’ve never had any of my teammates assess a dressing room like this, so it must be really bad if a player — and it isn’t one player — comes out and says such things.” He added that there’s a “whole load of problems in terms of players, staff, everything higher up.”
The four-time Premier League winner believes United fans should be concerned about the state of the dressing room. Silvestre explained that the team ethos must be corrected first before the club have any chance of reaping success.
“There aren’t many positive vibes at United and, I’m not sure if this is due to the results or if there’s a bad atmosphere affecting results,” he said. “It should be a concern for the entire club because if you don’t have a harmonious dressing room, you won’t achieve anything. That is the foundation and it needs to be addressed for next season, that’s for sure.”
