Nationals Senator Matt Canavan has thrown doubt on the accuracy or significance of the official unemployment price, telling a Queensland Senate candidates discussion board that “look, whatever the unemployment rate is”, it will be being adversely affected by office vaccine mandates.
Canavan was replying to a query from a nurse who was unemployed resulting from her non-vaccinated standing. She mentioned she was nonetheless listed as employed, so was her company substitute in her public hospital job, and so was her personal sector substitute — “making three new jobs in all”.
