North Shore feeling an independent wind of change

Sydney’s North Shore has lengthy been a Liberal stronghold. But a brand new wave of independents are shaking up supposedly protected seats.

The winds of change are blowing by the fantastic gum timber of Sydney’s North Shore. For greater than a century, residents have peacefully practised their religion, pottered round their camellia gardens and voted for the Liberal Party. 

However, a revolution is coming. The morning after the 2019 election, locals woke in shock to find that their beloved Tony Abbott had been deposed by an impartial named Zali Steggall. 

Last 12 months former NSW premier Gladys Berejiklian — an area North Shore woman made good — needed to step down after opposed findings by a corruption inquiry.
